The St. Joe Riverfront B&B is locally owned and
operated by Cary and Val Day. Our goal is to provide an
extraordinary lodging experience that offers comfort, relaxation and
breathtaking views of nature at its best. We also offer friendly and
helpful advice and above all, remarkable hospitality while visiting
the St. Joe River Valley.
For over 27 years we were members of the fast
paced ever changing corporate world owning our company. Although
highly successful, it no longer became satisfying on a personal
level. After much contemplation, we left the “rat race” behind to
pursue a more relaxed way of life. Having traveled the world
extensively, our passion for discovering beauty and enjoying the
hospitality shown from many people in many cultures, we feel we know
what people want in a “get-away”. This helped us learn a great deal
about recharging our mind and bodies. Our goal has always been to
offer a chance for people to escape to the river.
Cary Day, owner and chef of the bed and
breakfast believes that a relaxed setting, comfortable
night’s sleep
followed by an “award winning’ breakfast makes for a perfect
getaway. In the hospitality business for over 35 years while
managing his travel agency-House of Travel-he knows what people want
when travels take them away from home. The welcoming environment,
soothing atmosphere and panoramic windows to drink in the view of
the many deer, moose, birds and jumping fish make his job a lot
easier to please his guests..
Val Day, owner and decorator of their beautiful
home was the envisionary of this new career change because she
wanted to share the beauty of the area with others while offering a
chance to RECHARGE in a fantastic setting that is inviting, casual
yet elegant. The river is a place to relax, be romantic, get
re-energized, read a book or be involved in the many activities
